B/ST Site Information

About:

This site focuses on Web Site Development. I have used, at least initially, content I wrote and experience I gained building Open Source Today (dot) org site. My intended purpose in developing the afore mentioned site was to advertise my skills in web centric coding, I had little interest in writing content beyond again advertising my experience. My role in writing content for the OST, was supposed to have been temporary. That effort was devoted to adding bulk while awaiting my partner to deliver focused content that VARs would have interest. Sadly that state was never reached.

I came to this field as an outsider. My formal training is in the physical and less so in the biological sciences, where I have done both industrial and academic research related to each. Nonetheless, I found myself by a random walk in the field of custom programming. The majority of my experience has been in the creation of and maintenance of custom database driven applications. Obviously, that experience is pertinent in the creation of commercial sites.

This site will be linked to other sites as I build as them. Moreover, this site will continue to add new content, based primarily my use of techniques to build dynamic web pages. However, there will be a lag, because my primary goal remains building web sites not writing about my experience, per se.
